Below are the venues for the 2011-2012 Season of the Allen Philharmonic Orchestra and Symphony Chorus and its sister organizations.

Performing Arts Center at Allen High School

New for us this season, we are exceptionally proud to be making this the new home for the Allen Philharmonic Orchestra.  Its 1,500-seat auditorium significantly expands our previous capacity.

Directions:  From Jupiter Road, drive west on Rivercrest Boulevard. Continue until you see the high school on the left and the parking lot on the right.  The Performing Arts Center is in the first section of the high school.  The ticket, will call and information booth is immediately inside the main doors.

 

All four Subscription Concerts will be held in this hall.

The simple, but elegant design of the auditorium, speaks to the importance the Allen community, school district, and citizens place on both education and the arts.

For a number of years, the Sanctuary of First United Methodist
Church has served as our main venue.  Its Minister of Music, Rusty King currently serves as our Chorus Director.

• Thursday & Friday, January 5 & 6, 2012 , the Allen Symphony Chorus along with members of the Allen Philharmonic Orchestra will be presenting– Amahl and the Night Visitors.

Each year, the Allen Philharmonic Orchestra and Symphony Chorus presents at Allen’s community Memorial Day celebration in the shell of the Ampitheater.  Please join us for a delightfully patriotic evening of musics, great coral singing and a brilliant fireworks finale.

Allen Folk Music Society at The Blue House

The Allen Folk Music Society meets on the third Saturday of each month for an old-fashioned sing along. Bring an acoustic instrument, a song to share, and a snack to share (please no alcohol since we are on city property.)
