April 5, 2008: The Allen Philharmonic’s Tenth Anniversary Celebration. This dinner/concert and dance will feature Thomas Demer, violist with the DSO who is quite the fiddler as he joins members of our orchestra for an evening of Cowgirl Chic & Cowboy Cool that will have our guests boot scooting and two stepping the night away. This exciting evening celebrates the past ten years of accomplishments of the Allen Philharmonic in our community. |

| May 9, 2008: The annual Third Grade Youth Concert. The Allen Philharmonic welcomes the Dallas Black Dance Theatre in three performances of Peter & The Wolf to accommodate all students in the Allen and area school districts. Selections from the UIL Music Memory program will be performed in addition to the ballet. This performance adds dance, an art form not currently offered in the elementary fine arts curriculum. Third grade introduction to dance engages the younger students senses of sight and sound in what is, for many, their first concert experience. |

| May 26, 2008: Memorial Day at Summer Sounds. The Allen Philharmonic enjoys performing Patriotic Pops for the community at this annual concert as we recognize our Veterans and the family members of servicemen and women who are currently deployed. We are humbled by the sacrifices our Veterans have made and the families of our active duty military personnel continue to make to serve and protect the freedoms each one of us enjoys every day. |
